Mahdi was born in Senna/Sanandaj City Kurdistan Iran, in 1961.He started painting at the age of six inspired by his elder brother Hadi Ziaadini who is a famous artist in Kurdistan. He got his B.A in painting in 1999 at the Tehran Fine Arts University.
The outstanding aspect of his art, like all other Kurdish artists have known, is that he paints and sculpts nothing but Kurdish subjects. His paintings depict tribal legends, myths and intimate moments of Kurdish life. He has taken part in many exhibitions and biennials in Tehran, Sanandaj, Howler, Halabja, Dahok and Damascus.
